The Violin String Names

The Violin has a series of notes. Each note is named for one of 7 letters of the alphabet. A, B, C, D, E, F, G. These notes repeat over and over again throughout the violin, simply being played higher and lower. Because of the many note names all over the instrument we have the following string names: G, D, A, E (G is the lowest string, E is the highest sounding string name).
