After careful working on all of the notes and making sure the student can play them all slowly, it is now time to work on playing them faster. The next step to get faster is to focus on the technique details that allows the violinist to play faster. The longer the bow stroke, the slower the player will play the notes.

Quarter Notes - Use half of the Bow

Half Notes - Use 1/4 or less of the bow

Try not to go too fast from the start. Work your way up to a fast tempo instead of jumping to a really fast tempo.
